Purpose of interview
What the interview questions are designed to do
Each interview question asked is designed to
give the employer insight into the interviewee' s skills,
abilities, and attitudes. Similarly, the interviewer expects
the candidate to ask him or her questions about the job and
company which show that the candidate has a genuine interest in
the employment there.
If the interviewee asks intelligent
questions, the interviewee can turn the table around and
impress the interviewer with interview questions. In some
interviews, the interviewers reveal that they were bored of the
interviewee' s answers to the interview questions asked and
were going to reject the interviewee. But then, the interviewee
asked all these intelligent questions about the products and
services of the company that made them go 'wow' and want to
keep the interviewee around the workplace." The questions the
interviewee ask the employer also show the employer:
-
how much the interviewee is interested in the job
-
how much the interviewee is interested in the
company
-
how much thorough research the interviewee has done
reflecting key skills such as research and finding
resources
-
how much the interviewee already know about the
products
-
how creative the interviewee is
-
and much more...
Who gets hired after an interview?
It is a known fact that the candidate who
comes out of the interview with a job offer is not necessarily
the best qualified candidate. The candidate who gets hired
after an interview is usually the one who made the best
impression.
