What not to do after job interview

Have you ever come out from a job interview thinking,

  • why did I say that???
  • why didn't I say that???
  • what was I thinking???
  • I wish I said this other things instead...
  • what would they think of my answers???
  • is it salvageable?
  • etc etc...
Getting caught up in job interview loop trap

After a job interview, many interviewees get caught in the trap of recalling things you said in the job interview and then compare to what they now wish they had said instead. For those interviewees who are not so experienced at job interviewing, it is normal to say things you wish you have not said in a job interview. But, there is no need to get caught up in a job interview loop about it.

When you ponder about your answers in a job interview, you might get really down and that will slow down your job search momentum or stops it all together.

What you should do after a job interview

Replaying the job interview in your mind afterward can be very useful. You should write down the list of interview questions you were asked and then write down your own job interview answers. This will give you an opportunity to rethink how best to answer the same type of interview questions in the future.
